That's right - your eyes and ears do not deceive you.
It has certainly been a long time coming....but after the recent return of Ross/Veil to the stage in Tokyo, let widespread rejoicing ensue this Yuletide - for that show was indeed indicative of the return of Scotland's industrial-pop act SURGYN itself to "active status" in DWA's artist roster.
For this, the third single from the smash-hit second album "Envy" we enlisted the talents of ASSEMBLAGE 23's Tom Shear and James Francis from PANIC LIFT (who toured the US alongside SURGYN and AESTHETIC PERFECTION for 5 weeks in 2014) to craft a couple of catchy and yet completely contrasting remixes of the standout song "Green Heart" which has more or less been crying out to be turned into a single since the day "Envy" was first released.
Artwork for this "Green Hearts" EP as for the "Envy" album itself comes from the gifted hand and eye of Vlad McNeally - DWA's lead designer over in the USA - and audio mastering like for the album was carried out by Kolja Trelle (SOMAN) at his Koltron Music Production facility in Germany.
"Green Hearts" is available both digitally and for the analogue-loving collectors among you as an ultra-limited edition single-sided 12" record - lovingly lathecut to vinyl in real time by one of our skilled craftsmen, from "for vinyl masters" specially created by Kolja Trelle.
In keeping with the quantities historically offered of the other vinyl versions of "Envy" and its derivatives, we will be making x12 copies each of a transparent and a black version of "Green Hearts" - a limited edition of x24 copies in total.
So take your pick from either of the x12 transparent vinyl versions, x12 black vinyl versions, or of course go the path of true excess as SURGYN themselves would probably encourage you to and have one of each...
"Green Hearts" will be cut over the winter vacation and shipping early in the New Year for a January 13th release date.
Both the ultra-limited lathe-cut vinyl version(s) and digital can be pre-ordered NOW - and probably in the case of the vinyl, despite SURGYN'S lengthy lay-off we might recommend "order now to avoid possible disappointment", based on previous levels of interest in SURGYN's physical progeny!
AND if you pre-order, you won't even have to wait AT ALL to wrap your ears around the remixes - because the EP will be yours IN ITS ENTIRETY the second you click to pay for it... ;-)
Who says we can't have nice things...especially at Christmas

Faderhead is with and without an accent, "at the same time"; this is truly vocal talent. I am sure many can share in the irony of Australian and European artists singing with an American accent, while the opposite can be said of American artists. The fact that he uses an American East Coast one in 'Darker Please' -a sorta story-, - steering at the rain -, -dokker plz- is somehow classic to being EBM's style and yet proves monotone vocals can still carry edgy and catchy dynamics. aggrophene
